Who you be rootin for? Malignaggi vs. Hatton

never been much of a Hatton fan. I feel like he got to ride the Kostya Tszyu win for a long time and got a little overrated because of it. I think he's a good fighter but because of the politics of dancing, i mean boxing, he got some undeserved attention. thats just me. hate on me all you want. i love the english people. im actually a drum and bass producer.

As far as Paulie, i just like his style more. He has obvious skill and compensates for his lack of power. I know I cant expect him to hurt his opponents but its interesting to see him work to make up for that. he's starting to scratch the surface as far as name fighters with Ricky being the biggest of his career. he entertains me more as well with his rooster looking ass. Its gonna be a tough fight for both of them in which I think Ricky's strength and tenacity could possibly be the determining factors on how the fight will turn out.

this fight will take place assuming Hatton beats Lascano and Paulie wins the Ndou rematch (both will be fighting on the same card on Verus from England).

and its a pretty safe bet to say they will both win and fight each other.

Lascano has little chance to beat hatton...little to none.

If you seen the first Paulie v. Ndou fight then you'd know that the same goes for paulie. in the first fight he put on a boxing clinic winning 9 rounds to 3 (117-111) according to my scorecard.

believe it or not paulie scored a flash knockdown in that fight as well.

I expect pretty much the same out of paulie for the rematch...Ndou isnt on paulie's level.

I'm going to be rooting for Paulie Malignaggi.

Not that i dont like hatton; i think hatton is a good guy and his fans are amazing but paulie is my guy...

besides; currently he's the only real italian in the sport doing anything worthwhile.

all its going to come down to is this:

"Can paulie keep hatton at the end of his jab?"

and

"Can Hatton get inside on Paulie and **** him to his body?"

thats going to be the storyline to the fight.

If paulie can keep hatton from getting inside (stick and move all night) then paulie wins because hatton's best chance of winning is getting inside of paulie as to where paulie (i believe) is the superior boxer and could win if he keeps hatton away.

The exact opposite analysis goes for hatton. Ricky hatton needs to use his jab to get inside on paulie (preferably against the ropes) and **** away to paulie's body; bringing him down to hatton's speed and punishing him and creating opportunites to brawl in the later rounds (assuming he can punish paulie's body and then get inside on him and go to work).

i hope paulie can use his reach advantage and pure boxing talent to win.

i think this also determines the champion of 140lbs...because right now i got hatton as number 1 at 140 and paulie in second.
