Am i the only one who thought the scoring was off in that fight?
i thought vargas did a little better than he was given credit for.
true he did use some wild punching from time to time but he used pretty good headmovement; worked the body (whitfield sure didnt...); in some rounds used effective aggression and caught whitfield.
and out hustled him in some rounds.
opinions?
i didnt keep score on paper or anything (not a big fight really) but i think (based of calculating in my mind) that a draw sounds about right.
i just cant see whitfield being given 9 rounds to 3 rounds (by one judge) and 8 rounds to 4 rounds (by the other)...
i think the first judge who scored it a draw got it right.
