What options does Roy Jones have left??

Im wondering who is Jones gonna fight? He is coming off a good performance and a successful PPV but he needs a good fight, hes not getting any younger and every name fighter seems to be unavailable or negot their own matches. Id like to see him get a fight with the winner of Bhop vs Calz but in the mean time he needs to stay active but Id rather not see him fight another Hanshaw type fighter. What are his options at this point?

Hmmm who else cant get a fight right now.....Miranda!!

you and scott keep me entertained with the asians every day... jesus lol

Miranda is definitely an option... but I think the risk to reward factor is really lopsided on that fight... at this stage Roy has a big enough name value where he doesnt need to take that risk, for that little reward.

That doesn't mean I dont wanna see the fight, it just means, thats how he is thinking.

Thats why hes looking for a tune up fight... Miranda isn't really a tune up fight so much... Roys eyes are on getting the title shot at this point and getting out.

Roy has quite a few options, but I think his first choice is definitely to fight Calzaghe in the UK for a huge finale payoff. You can be sure he's cheering for Joe to win that fight. If that happens he'll take a relatively safe tune up like maybe Beyer in Germany. If Hopkins wins he'll look elsewhere because him and Hops just can't seem to negotiate.

he needs to go to Cal/Hop and if Cal wins, he needs to jump in the ring and challenge him there.

He's got options but they all depend on other people. He's gotta wait for some other fights at LHW to end so he can take on one of the winners.

So in the meantime he should just fight a tune up type opponent? Or does he risk nothing and wait for Joe? Because so far this year the tune ups havent been going to plan! Id rather see him lose to a higher calibur guy than someone hes supposed to walk through. What about Andrade?

His options are pretty good actually. A Calzaghe fight seems like a good possibility if Calzaghe gets by Hopkins, he's shown interest in fighting Kessler, Taylor and Pavlik, but he should fight a stay busy fight in the near future, at his age, he needs to fight to stay sharp.

Most of the fighters at 168 and 175 are interested in fighting Jones because he's still a big name and a win for them would look pretty good on their resumes.

Andrade is well managed and he's going to sit on his mandatory title shot. If he's got Joe lined up, Roy will take a very safe tune up. If he can't get Calzaghe, then maybe a Jermain Taylor fight will come into play again.

I know hes going for Joe. I think he should and thats the fight I want to see.

I really mean what is he going to do now. The Joe C fight probably wouldnt take place till the end of the year.
