Katsidis: Is he a Margarito Jr?

Both are strong, pressure fighters always stalking and coming foward. Both are technically lacking though Katsidis might edge out Margarito as far as form. Both also have suspect defense even though one could argue that Margo's defense is his pressure. I really see no major difference in both fighters though style and ability wise.

I see what you mean...but the only difference I see is their chin.. Margorito has proven he could takes some flush bombs on his chin...were as Katasidis has a shaky chin. Other than that...they do have a similar style IMO.

I don't think so really. Margarito seems way more technically skilled to me. Katsidis isn't as good as Margarito is.

I agree with that. Katsidis uses relentless aggression while Margarito uses a more intelligent aggression. Margarito is more versatile and boxing savvy than most fans think. Of course at this point he is also a lot more experienced than Katsidis.

Naw, the only thing they got in common is that they are both pressure fighters in their own ways. Believe it or not I think Margarito is a more accurate puncher than Katsidis, his left and right uppercuts land at a high percentage. Katsidis is just like an energizer bunny on steroids, like a mad pitbull that doesn't want to let go of his prey.

Margarito uses pressure but at a slower pace, wearing you down and accumulating punches breaking you down. I actually give the edge to Margarito when it comes to fighting with more skill, Katsidis tends to be more wild but his punches are shorter and faster than Tony's.

The major difference is Katsidis gets dropped by average punchers while Margarito can take shots from huge punchers without being wobbled. I also agree with others that he is far more experienced at this stage and can apply intelligent aggression unlike Katsidis.
