I would be pretty mad, and I disagree that he's worthy of victory. I don't think he's even worthy of getting this fight when there are other fighters who deserve this shot even more.

I agree with Papi on this.. Gomez definately didn't deserve the fight. True.

Well i would be pretty mad to tell you the truth, I want to see Cotto/Mayweather and this fight is a step closer if Cotto wins.

I dont want the samething that Happened with Paul williams to happen again, We need the top fighters winning so the bigger fights can be made.

I've always hated Gomez, he seems to think he is latest in a long line of Mexican legends, primarily because he didn't win a reality TV show, and then beat up a wheelchair-bound Arturo Gatti. I hope his family can't recognise him after Cotto has dished out one of the most comprehensive beatings of the last 30 years.

gomez made it to my heart since the contender series.

he's a definite guys guy and a gentleman - i hope he gives cotto the biggest challenge of his career and in turn makes an even bigger name in defeat and goes onto making those 7figure pay days.

              buena suerte socio!

All I can wish Gomez is a quick recovery after Mighel demolishes him on saturday.

That's The Professor to you. It may be harsh, but that's because i'm not afraid to speak the truth. Gomez was ****** to take this fight. as shown by the fact that everyone on this thread is seemingly wishing him 'good luck' i.e. please don't get brain damaged Alfonso. The only positive from this fight is that Gomez probably won't take a dive, and will hopefully get the sort of prolonged punishment he deserves for embarrassing this once great sport with his reality TV antics and comical verbal diarrhoea.

Of course you would, you're Puerto Rican, I can tell by the sunglasses lmao.

First of all, Alonfso is worthy of the victory. He trains and sacrifices just as much as anyone. He's a good guy, hard worker, and talented. So he's beyond worthy, and thankfully we dont live on a planet made of douche bag, which is the same thing youre made out out of lol. Cause if we were on PLANET DOUCHE BAGE LMAO...Alfonso, wouldn't be worthy of a Victory.

And Second, Alfonso didn't choose Cotto, Cotto's people chose Alfonso. So Alfonso being "worthy of fighting Cotto" is irrelevant. Cotto and his people gave the fight the "ok" to fight lol. They picked Alfonso, it wasn't the otherway around.....dumb asses lol

So again, I wish Gomez good luck. Fight to win it. Get on those toes if you gotta! Set up that right hand! And don't be afraid to adjust and try somthin new. Good luck primo.
