    there's no rivalry?

i admit mexico has more champions and a lot more well known fighters but there's a rivalry.

nothing like puerto rico vs. mexico but there is one.

why else would golden boy and top rank put all these filipinos against mexicans? they're trying to capitalize on the potential of a rivalry between two countries with large populations with a lot of citizens living in the u.s.

    don't be an ass.

Just recently, Abner beat an old washed up pinoy fighter while banal beat an undefeated uruguayan fighter. These two will collide in the future and pitting is a bad financial proposition for GBP. I say it's a toss up but i'm leaning towards my compatriot AJ banal.

Cause obviously they are taking advantage of the damn fad that started by Pacquiao, they are milking the **** out of the phillipine people with the dumb ass Phillipino vs the World ****, and please, dont tell me you believe the MX vs Phil world cup bs, Mexico had all bums except de leon and gonzalez, the pinoys had their young "prospects" who were SUPPOSED to win anyway, had mexico have their A leveled fighters we would beat the **** out of ALL of them.. THERES NO RIVALRY, besides pacquiao, who has done something??

just the fact that they're trying to milk the filipino people means there's a rivalry. obviously the filipino people care. whether the mexican people care that much probably not because they have the most champions and are on top. in the lower weight classes mexico is like the lakers and the cubans , puerto ricans , filipinos , etc. are like the kings , suns and clippers.

if u consider a phillipino beating a taxi cab driver a "rivalry" then you got some ****ing issues... like i said, besides pacquiao, who has done something??

According to you Mexico would go 6-0 against the philippines in that world cup. Now you think its bs. Penalosa knocked Johnny Gonzales the **** out. Deleon's ducked him for over a year But he's now Deleon's mandatory. Nonito Donaire is already in negotiation with Arce and Mijares. So get your excuses about bull**** robberies and cab drivers ready buddy

Mares will probably win by split decision against banal but dont cry like you always do if your boy gets upset.
Actually even Mijares vs Arce and Kilt vs Ibrag were not 'exposures'. Both of those fights consisted of old time veterans and being 'exposed' is generally when a young prospect that is hyped up but hasn't fought anybody of real skill yet gets taken to school by a more experienced fighter who knows what to do against a young, highly skilled but inexperienced fighter.

Arce certainly wasn't 'exposed' as he just lost to the faster, better boxer who had more skill. Arce was basically just a non stop come forward fighter by that stage of his career and against a fighter as good as Mijares most people knew that was going to happen. Neither was Ibrag 'exposed' as no one really expected him to be able to beat the guy with a massive reach advantage and good jab which was in his face all night.

Donald Curry was 'exposed' as everyone at the time considered him as possibly being one of the best fighters of all time in the future before his loss to Honeyghan. The thing is everyone thought he had everything you could need to beat anyone. He had never been tested properly by someone who could box, fight, had strong a mental game and had more than one gear. When it came down to it Curry seemed like he didn't have that extra gear needed to dig down when things got really tough. That was exposed.

He had all the skills but lacked that most important factor that was needed to win the big fights and that was 'exposed' in those big fights against fighters that had that extra something.

Zab Judah was exposed against Kostya Tszyu. Up until that time he had not had to dig down to fight against adversity and when he had thrown everything he had and Tszyu didn't go anywhere but came out stronger in the second it 'exposed' the fact that under pressure Judah didn't have the extra factors needed to step it up. That has been used against him ever since.

It's funny because anyone that loses these days, mostly those guys with a 0, are labeled as 'exposed'! Not everyone that loses has something exposed. Most of the time it is quite obvious what it would take to beat someone. I remember when Katsidis lost to Casa and people were sying he had been exposed and yet there was nothing that was exposed in the slightest. He had many flaws, everyone knew that and they were taken advantage of by a fighter who could take advantage of them. Nothing was exposed about him at all, and the funny thing was I thought it showed that he actually had more to offer than first thought. Exposed is just another overused word, too bandied about.
