taylor losing or getting ko'd has nothing to do with this fight. Hopkins is too true to the sport and don't fight for the money. If that was the case he would have took the fight years ago

I brought the Taylor thing up because he got his ass kicked by a white boy...Bernard boasts that he cant lose to a white kid...If Taylor who beat Nard can get iced by a white boyh it is certainly not out of the realm to think Bernard is white boy proof as well.
BTW- Bernard fights for the money at this point in his career plain and simple...he never made the type of money he thought he deserved for many many years and now its pad your bank account time.
The Winky Wright v. Nard fight was a perfect example of a fight that was all about the money.
1) a catchweight fight usually means that there is a great demand for the match. Not so in this case-you cant find me anyone who was actually saying, "hey Nard vs. Wright is a fight I want to see" it was all about Nard and his power with GBP that made that gross fight a reality.
2) Nard vs. Wright was PPV...are you kidding me? Again it was not a fight anyone wanted to see yet it was $50...it was all about the money.
Nard at this point in his career in this cult fans opinion fights for the money and I think we will hear him say something along these lines in the post fight...promise me you will listen.Comment

calzaghe wont be able to stop Hopkins... if he does it'll be an amazing feat."Calzaghe not contemplating defeat
Joe Calzaghe says he will "retire and never show my face in public again" if he loses to Bernard Hopkins in Las Vegas on 19 April.
Calzaghe, 36, added that he was punching harder than ever ahead of his light-heavyweight debut and he plans to become the first man to stop Hopkins.
Super-middleweight king Calzaghe told BBC Sport: "I throw more punches and land more punches.
"That's what it comes down to, that's the basics of boxing.""
Firm words. I predicted he's get more into the big talking more than usual/ever for him, being in America. I think it needs to be taken with a pinch of salt like most pre fight hyping/promoting talk. Hopkins has said far more controversial things and so have other fighters. It's uncommon for Calzaghe though so it'll probably recieve some criticism. Personally I think a little over the top but fair play, he's not been dis respectful, it's just standard pre fight talk.Comment

Reading the article on Hopkins dream team, a member saying he has the fitness of a 28 year old man, that's the only thing that's worried me about the fight. **** a 28 yr old man effectively, with the experience and brain of a 43 year old.
Then you've got Calzaghe camp clearly confident. A lot of it is talk, but for a Joe fan, I'm left thinking in light of recent happenings, Hopkins is better prepared and more aware then Joe. It's genuinely dented my confident in Calzaghe winning, although I still think he will.Comment

Listen to this guy to learn how to make the white boy the underdog, like Rocky. Question: Do you really think so low of Calzaghe you need to say things like that?Reading the article on Hopkins dream team, a member saying he has the fitness of a 28 year old man, that's the only thing that's worried me about the fight. **** a 28 yr old man effectively, with the experience and brain of a 43 year old.

Where'd that come from?
I'm an avid Calzaghe fan mate, doesn't make him exempt from criticism. People do have criticisms of those they support you know, it's called realism.
I don't think lowly of Calzaghe at all, where did I say that? Read any of my posts. Fact you said that just going by one rare post of barely criticising Calzaghe is plain ******.
I do think Hopkins is better prepared in many ways yes. He's got a perfect team around him to design exactly what he needs to do, get as fit as a 28 year old, dodging quick punches, picking out south paw weaknesses, countering, and getting the knowledge on what he can do to overcome this totally different fighter in Calzaghe. His teams made some wise observations of Calzaghe and what Hopkins needs to do.
Enzo Calzaghe, as my fav trainer, his son my favourite boxer, well Enzo isn't known for his wise statements, he by comparison has not said anything as wise on oberving Hopkins and how they need to prepare Joe. H'es mouthed off and given Bernard little respect on his merits, which is not good. Plus one of Joes sparring partners isn't in LA because of Visa issues, not good. Also Joe hasn't said a great deal, and it's not mostly due to keeping it quiet, usually he does say stuff, here all he's saying is old man this old man that.
Don't question my love for team Calzaghe just because of having one criticism jeez fella, take a reality pill. I'm Calzage all the way, but one must be a realist, it's a tough fight, and on preparation at least, I think team Hopkins as a whole may have done better. Credit where credits due.
Oh and also, I'm a major Rocky fan, and prefer the alternate ending with Rocky winning, so your pretty much wrong on all accounts. Nemmind hey.

I'm still 100% confident Hopkins will win.
