Cotto vs. Mayorga for July?

lately ive been checking out some other boxing websites and when ive checked out the fight calendar, on two that i saw theres already a fight posted i forgot which date in july for miguel cotto and ricardo mayorga. does anybody know anything about it? id much rather see him fight the winner of margarito/ cintron (like what i thought it was supposed to happen).

just a rumor...but I could see it happen if Margarito looses to Cintron (since Cintron is not a Top Rank fighter).

I don't know if this is right, but I have a theory on the Mayorga bout.

It probably is just a backup plan in case Cintron wins, because likely, there will be a trilogy bout, between Cintron and Margarito, especially if the second fight is close.

I cannot imagine, by any stretch on the imagination that Cotto's people would rather him fight Mayorga than Margarito.

Margarito has appeared on spanish language programs and has said That Arum has given him his word that Margarito vs Cotto will be their next fight.

Mayorga would generate more exposure therefore raising Cotto's PPV stock which Floyd and his followers keep emphasizing Cotto needs to do. If that happens and they criticize Cotto for fighting a washed up fighter, well, that speaks for itself.

right now its a probable fight.

nothing cemented in stone.

i COULD see this fight happening to be honest...it would be a half ass tune up fight and a half ass payday.

cotto SHOULD fight the winner of margarito/cintron but this IS boxing and sometimes money rules all in this sport.

Arum is throwing Mayorga's name everywhere. First he said Mayorga vs Cotto then I read Mayorga vs Pavlik. It's all speculation right now.
