I was just about to post those two names. I'd add Victor Ortiz if he ever becomes active again.

i wouldn't say alfonso gomez is an up and comer by the way, hes probably as good as hes ever going to be .. worse when cotto dismantles him.

also i don't get why they wont put JCC jr in with good competition, from what i have seen hes a really good strong quick hard hitting fighter with a decent chin and heart .. why pad his record so much, he could be making big money in big fights by now ..

my two picks as well, especially Gamboa.

A great big L-O-L at the thread starter for listing Alfonso Gomez in the poll, and also to the one person who voted for him

Yeh,Kirkland is a beast,he has something in his eyes that shows what kinda attitude he has in the ring, his trainer is Anne Wolfe so it explains where he gets it from,he can punch

Gamboa, Berto, and JuanMa Lopez for me...all good boxers with power! We'll find out soon how good Lopez is now that he is fighting a beast in Ponce de Leon.

                  Yuriorkis Gamboa.

I'm also a fan of James Kirkland, although I don't think he'll be an elite fighter, just highly entertaining and will be able to compete with the best.
