Love painting in oils on canvas the richness of the color is beautiful and unobtainable with anything else , yeh Ive been 10 yrs in Photoshop , started doing web design logos and brochures etc then went on to illustration ,, actually Im bored with computer graphics and have been concentrating on traditional oil painting , I know why Slone paints the way he does as you can get a good arty look without the skills needed to render beautiful skintones , its very hard to get it right ,,,, thats not taking anything away from him as commercial art is everywhere and its very cliche , honestly I could paint a Slone tomorrow but I will probably never get near the portraits from masters like Sargent and Franz Hals over my lifetime , to stand in a room with a life size one of those will take your breath away .Comment

So quit telling fight fans your 'artwork' is paintings and explain they are simply altered photos, explain they are 'Smudge Paintings' done in photoshop which you have ten years practice operating and don't fraud fight fans who many know little of art. Don;t try to pull off your pixels as paint. Sounds to me like you're jealous of Slone. I have been helping Slone's company market stuff online and you're computerized images can't compare to Slone's brushwork, your shameful attack shows your insecurity. Which museums are you in? How much do you computer print outs sell for? The computer graphics you do are completely different than Slone's traditional paintings. It's like live band vs. computerized sounds. I personally can't paint or use photoshop. I think your photoshoped images look great, you obviously have talent but don't try and put yourself in a different league, graphic illustration isn't fine art. Because Slone has a recognizable style you call it 'gimicky', is LeRoy Neiman and Pablo Picasso gimicky? Come on, stop trying to pull someone else down. As far as realism, check out Slone's earlier works with perfect skin tones and photo-realistic detail, he out grew that style and is where he is now, as all traditional artist's grow in style. It's not because he can't create realism. Illustrators and computer artist usually don't develop a recognizable style. Slone has paid his dues in boxing and boxing art and fans love his art and it's not computer generated. There's a reason that he's become of on the most popular young american artists.Love painting in oils on canvas the richness of the color is beautiful and unobtainable with anything else , yeh Ive been 10 yrs in Photoshop , started doing web design logos and brochures etc then went on to illustration ,, actually Im bored with computer graphics and have been concentrating on traditional oil painting , I know why Slone paints the way he does as you can get a good arty look without the skills needed to render beautiful skintones , its very hard to get it right ,,,, thats not taking anything away from him as commercial art is everywhere and its very cliche , honestly I could paint a Slone tomorrow but I will probably never get near the portraits from masters like Sargent and Franz Hals over my lifetime , to stand in a room with a life size one of those will take your breath away .

An older Slone portrait (1999), done with a brush and real paint. Now explain that Slone lacks skills...you're crazy if you don't see how talented he is.Comment

With all due respect you dont know what you are talking about , compared to the portrait artists Ive mentioned Slone is not near thier league , compared is a very imported word in that statement dont over look it ,, I said I can emulate what he does on canvas in oil and I can , did I say the guy does not have talent , no ,,, you seem sensitive to opinions in an area you have no expertise in , as far as smudge painting some are some aint you tell me which is which , also said Bhop scene is going on a wall at life size mural , must be a photo enlagementSo quit telling fight fans your 'artwork' is paintings and explain they are simply altered photos, explain they are 'Smudge Paintings' done in photoshop which you have ten years practice operating and don't fraud fight fans who many know little of art. I guess copying a photo free hand onto canvas is photo manipulation eh

Thanks mate , it was not intended to own the guy just point out that there are many artist out there that can do good work and not to be so sensitive to another artists opinions , Slone is a good artist but in my opinion the Floyd and Cal Bhop colored style is gimicky its a style which I have seen done many times before , not saying its bad , no art is bad , you like or you dont but its never bad .
Yes I sell artworks and portraits and will have a website built this year .
Here is one of galleries of Slone style art that I referred to .

The art you referenced is STILL COMPUTERIZED ART! Slone paints real paintings. They actually exist not just as digital files. There are hundreds of 'Smudge painters' out there too ( do I need to pull some REALLY good ones up?). All I am saying is that Slone makes great art, with real paint. Not computers and you came in here and try to rain on his parade with some computerized stuff. As far as the Mosley, how come the texture on the canvas only appears at the end?? Dead give away?, if it was a real painting the texture is strongest in the beginning. No? You're canvas was smooth as hell and then became textured at the end? You might not be speaking to an artist but I do have education in the field and a passion for great art. I am sure Slone would compliment your work but it's apples and oranges. Don;t you agree? Computers are so great thesedays you can photoshop almost anything, but can you hang it in a museum? Did you put the fishnet on Oscar too? Thanks mate , it was not intended to own the guy just point out that there are many artist out there that can do good work and not to be so sensitive to another artists opinions , Slone is a good artist but in my opinion the Floyd and Cal Bhop colored style is gimicky its a style which I have seen done many times before , not saying its bad , no art is bad , you like or you dont but its never bad .

See what I mean. Anyway keep up the good work and next time show don't come in here flaunting computer art and knocking a real artist. you'e good at what you do but don't bash the ancient art of painting or artists who've earned fame.
