Well Charles was a LHW and that's where he was best.

The Fighting Marine should be higher

And Dempsey was by no means a better fighter than holmes.

Also Lennex Lewis not a top 10 HW?

You're entitled to your opinion, I'm just disagreeing with that.

I got Lewis better ranked then Holyfield, because of Lewis' heart and how confident he was before every fight, he really dominated everyone in his generation

Probably agreed. Because I'd say Lewis is like 6 my list or some something..........maybe Holyfield after but it's hard to say that Holy was a better fighter than Joe Frazier.

        haha. I mean:

Ali, Foreman, Holmes, Dempsey, Louis and Tunney are just to me the best ever. I think they go in that order also, and I've watched enough boxing and fights of theirs to not be convinced otherwise. I mean someone can go ahead and state their case............but we're all mice on that wheel considering we've gone in circles about this topic over and over.

I know for a fact that I've probably modified my lists over time...............but those five have probably never gone out of order.........unless I actually spur of the moment included Lewis or Holyfield. The two greatest heavyweights of our modern era hands down no discussion.

Same here. Evander was underrated before he beat Tyson, and overrated after it happened. Probably 10-15 if I made a list.

He did beat Moorer, Rahman and Oquendo though.

And in reality that's not bad for an old timer.

Top 20, somewhere. In relation to his peers, lower then Lewis but higher than Tyson.

Holyfield ranks between 10-15 as a HW. He's #1 as a CW though. Evander was a fun fighter to watch, like a HW version of Gatti, but Evander was really only a solid HW since he never really dominated the division like he did as a CW where he had most of his fights.

ok, I know I'm gonna get busted for this, but how is he top 20 even? I respect and admire holyfield a great deal but what did he do to even crack the top 20? I don't give him credit for beating tyson cuz by then tyson wasn't all that great. its like holmes beating ali. tyson wasn't mentally damaged as a result of punishment like ali but he was just mentally weak at that point.

Great hw victories that I give holyfield credit for: Douglas, Bowe, Moorer and Mercer.

I don't think I need to get into his geezer victories over holmes and foreman. holyfield is a top 30 IMO. if you disagree, convince me otherwise.

He is #1 CW all-time IMO but I think everyone pretty much agrees on that.
