Joe Calzaghe is what got me into boxing.

His fight against Charles Brewer.

I agree he is definetely the favourite of the real British boxing fans.

Ricky Hatton is a very media savvy, funny guy.

I think Joe C, is pretty shy actually.

Also he is Welsh.

Just as he would be a legend if he was American, he'd be more popular if he was English as opposed to Welsh.

Joe HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATES interviews. I can imagine why, being asked the same questions over and over and over again would piss anybody off.

Kinda like an Actor on the promotional curcuit, being asked the same question by a billion different people.

But, its the real stars are the ones that love the interviews. Because those guys use every interview as an oppurtunity to promote themselves and whatever it is there doing.

Joe calzaghe could have been huge but he wasted his carear, i am a big fan of calzaghe and ive been to see him etc, but he wasted loads of years fighting nobodys. he should have got it on with sven ottke, and went to america alot sooner, also alot of casual fans never knew of calzaghe untill ITV showed his fight with lacy when millions tuned in for that fight and calzaghe put on a world class performance wich won him loads of fans, after that fight they turned out in wales for their hero against manfredo then kessler, hes now getting the respect but hes 36, will have 1 or 2 more fights then retire wich is a shame.

Dont talk ****, sven ottke was the main man and so was joe in the super middleweight divison both world champions and undefeated fighters,it was only right they should get it on but it never happened wich was dissapointing. calzaghes recored would have been looking alot more better right now if he had a win over sven ottke.
