Yo, Kermit Cintron was coming off a 9 month lay off that time. I give him more of a fighting chance this time. He's fast enough to get away from Marg's looping right, but lets see if he's got enough to go the distance..I could see Cintron taking a split decison. But only if he avoids the right hand, and Margarito's got a wicked upper cut too! I don't know, but right now I'm leaning towards Cintron.
I must be onef the few that thinks Cintron is gonna completely reverse the situation and KTFO Marg. I guess a lot of people don't know all the background crap that went down with the first fight which all conspired against Cintron. Plus you guys make it sound like he was badly KTFO. He basically quit because he wasn't mentally in the fight. He was never 1 punch knocked down or lights out type of thing. I also remember Marg pushing Kermit down once or twice which called knockdowns. I think they got Marg this time around. Kermit wouldn't be going through with this unless he felt confident and understood the first fight was bs.
LOL, I aint gonna give odds on that. Give me some odds and I'll bet on a straight win for Kermit. Mind you, he lost to Margarito already and is coming off of hand surgery.
props to kermit tho he wants to avenge a brutal defeat when in relality he never had to , i mean he was the champion toni is the guy coming of a defeat and a comeback win over golden johnson , wich does not warrent a instant shot , so kermit shud get a lot of credit for taking this fight but i think wel get a repeat fight
I agree, but the outcome. Kermit is mentally ready for this fight and his corner know he will beat Margarito. Why else voluntarly agree to another badass beating. Kermit was mentally out of the ring and humiliated by his poorest performance. Both rely on their powerful right punch, I believe Kermit has grown as a boxer enough to set Tony for a KTFO RIGHT, and lights out. Kermit is a better boxer/brawler than Margarito. Tony's size is not an issue and he can be outboxed, as most "straight foward Mexican fighters". Don't call it an "upset" if Kermit wins. This fight could go eighter way on any round.
