Would Allan Green have been better off if he lost to Codrington?

If he lost to Codrington, then he gets his medical condition treated earlier, then in Codringtons place would probably have taken part in the contender. Would have been good exposure for him and I think he would have been favored to win the contender.

The key point here is he gets his medical treatment sooner. Rather than riding the wave of success from having the KO of the year onto bigger fights while not at 100%.

This is a nice change of pace from the Cotto/FLoyd threads but is a dumb question

Not at all. And there is now way of knowing if he would have been part of the contender if he had been the loser. There have been undefeated fighters on "the contender" and there have been guys coming off losses.

    It's all random.

that makes zero sense crazy.as far as codrington,he would actually make so me noise if he wouldn't pose so damn much with his punches.

It does makes sense because Codrington was Greenes greatest victory, after that he moved on and because of the hype and momentum gained from the quick KO he put his medical issues aside.

Allan Green only got the Codrington fight because he was from Oklahoma and had been in soft. DiBella probably assumed, as most New Yorkers do, that because Green was a country dude his undefeated record was a facade and that Green would really be an easy fight. If Green hadn't beaten Codrington the way he did then he wouldn't have gotten bigger fights. It also would mean that he really isn't that good. As it is, he's really only a top 10 guy. He's never won a title and Jaidon is not even a top 10 guy. Losing to someone who isn't a top 10 guy is bad regardless of what Margarito fans tell you about his early career.

The Codrington fight made Green, and it will forever be on boxing highlight reels. It was a great opportunity for a guy from Oklahoma, and Green is still getting some mileage out of it.
