That's a fight I'd want to see. I used to follow the little guys, but I'm really not up on anything below 112 or 115 anymore. I know Calderon, but haven't seen him in about 3 years. He really never had any competition. Hopefully, Solis can give him some comp.

"I don't like getting out the ring having to go straight to the hospital. I've already been through that. Spending two hours in the hospital, getting stitches and everything. I'm busting my ass here for all of you in the ring, and after the fight you all go dancing and everything and I go straight to the hospital."
      --Ivan Calderon

Like it or not, one has to give the devil his due. The kid's 31-0, even though he has no power and is continually facing bigger opposition. To hit & not get hit is the name of the game.

"My fight style is 'He who hits and runs away lives to fight another day'. And thats what I did for 29 years. I tried to hit and get away. And I did. I got away with it'"

Napo didn't calderon beat cotto in the amat.game. Calderon doesn't have a punch but as long as he is able to outbox dudes, he'll be champ for a while. Calderon vs Solis this yr in a PPv undercard, should be a good one.

Please people calling Calderon a runner just dont know the game.
His style is perfect, if he had a little more power he would be a big name fighter.

Not to much to pick from in the lower divisions. He will have to move up and might run into problems because of lack of pop in his punches. Calderon is nice in the ring, fluid and is always in control. The Solis will happen or he might get Edgar sosa , he beaten the top dudes , so ****ting on him is absurd.
