It's not a question of deserving. The main point is that none of the alphabet-titleholders wants any part of Kessler, and the governing bodies rank Kessler so low it's a disgrace. Most people would agree that after Calzaghe moved to LHW Kessler is no.1 and should be rated as such.

So the problem is lack of opponents. Enter Miranda who has called him out.

The Palles screwed the negotiations first time around so a few camels neeeds to be swallowed if a Miranda-fight is to become a reality.

The reason Miranda "deserves" the fight is that so many fans (like us) are discussing it and batting this thing back & forth. Miranda would doubtless lose to Kessler's better technique, but Kessler would certainly be moving FORWARD in his career, especially in the PERCEPTION of the fans, which is most important. I agree that taking on Mundine is a tougher proposition than the Miranda option but it doesn't look like a go now.

I'm sure it will be more than 400,000. Thats what Showtime offered. HBO would pay more if nothing else just to show the kidbrother who the boss is.

Actually it would make more sense to have HBO air the fight.
They hype Miranda to no end.

Whether or not there's a belt at stake I think kessler-Miranda will happen by the end of the year, probably on HBO.
