he doesn't try to really hurt manny. imo he had a few opportunities and let him off the hook. he tries to OUTBOX manny. when you are trying to go for a decision you live it in the judges hands. how many times do trainers tell their fighters don't leave it up to the judges? exactly. juan manuel is very skilled but when you play a counterpunching game you run the risk of a bad decision.
to juan manuel he's undefeated. you can make a good point he is too. but unfortunately you can also make the case the other way on some of those fights. that's the difference between manny and juan manuel. juan tries to win by decision and gets mad that it doesn't go his way. manny tries to get the guy out of there. sometimes that plays a role with the judges too. sometimes in a close round you might give it to the guy trying to get the other guy out rather than the guy trying to get points.
