Yeah, Marquez is a great counter-puncher, but he's almost too good of a counter-puncher. If he is ever going to beat Pacquiao convincingly, he really needs to be the aggressor from start to finish. I scored the first fight a draw and the second for Marquez by 2 points, but I was also frustrated as hell to see Marquez sit back and wait for the counters all night. He gives Pac too many opportunities by waiting.

          • re Marquez

For Marquez: Go home sour-graping loudmouth! You LOST!

            We don't need a loud-mouthing loser here.

You can never beat the Pacman. You are just NOT the man!

Pacman's business with you is FINISHED!

Counterpunching is the only way he'd ever beat Pacquiao and he failed to do it twice. He rocked pacman a few times BECAUSE it was counterpunches using his momentum against him. But in the few times Marquez tried a frontal assault he got pounded everytime. So i dont believe him for a minute when he says he'd knock out Pacquiao. He goes back to counters yet again in a 3rd fight cuz thats his only hope.

              • He had pacquiao hurt alot of times in that fight and i do think he might have scored a knockdown or knockout if that punch landed in the begining of the second... either way i had marquez wining the first fight by 1 point and the second by 2 points.

                • Marquez will never ever K.O. Pacquiao

Juan Manuel Marquez is just a sore loser, he cant back the things he's been saying. Before the 2nd fight, he keep on saying he has learn alot from the first and he will never make the same mistake again. But look what happened, he kissed the canvass again.. . .hahahahaha If there was a couple of seconds left, it would have been lights out.. He must have thanked the bell from saving him.. What's so funny is that , he was so dazed that he went to the wrong corner... - thats almost getting knocked out. Now, he is talking again... I wouldnt be surprised if he fails to back his talk agin..
He claims that he had Manny in trouble in that second round, funny... Manny even laughed it out in the corner.. I'm sure there will be the third, but please JMM camp dont rush it. It might be an early retirement for you. Pacquaio so far knocked you down four times already and Pacquaio will knock you out the next time you meet.... Philippines rulez......

                    • Human? You seem to forget that he has already been viciously knocked out cold twice and nearly a couple more times than that. Though I do believe that if they fight again it should be at the same weight they just fought at. Marquez is getting too old to move up again. He has lost a step and is more offensive now and that would not be the best way to go at Pac after moving up another weight.
No, i never forget that Pac has lost by KO and has been knockdown before but end up winning.

I mentioned that because it seems some thinks that Pac can't be KO.
