    Frank Bruno vs Lennox Lewis

seen this fight a couple of times and i dont understand how 2 of the 3 judges scored it 55-55 when the fight was stopped. i felt Frank was definetly the best in 6 of 7 rounds. One judge had it 59-55 though....what is your opinion about this?

This was btw Lennox worst era in hes carrier. After going 12 rounds with a ****aine wreck Tony Tucker who hadnt fought in 2 years and been to rehab to be outboxed by Bruno and then the schocking loss to Oliver McCall...

I had Bruno in front, Lewis only became a great fighter after Manny was hired as his trainer before that I think he would have lost to Tyson and Holyfield.

Bruno got off to a good start but started to fade in the mid rounds.

Lewis said he wasn't warmed up sufficiently before he got into the ring for the fight whereas Bruno was already warm, so that could explain why he was behind early.

His chin was considerably less than reliable as well.

When a fighter is as muscular as is Bruno, stamina is always a concern.

Critics have always been critical of Frank's boxing ability, but consider that in losing fights against Bonecrusher Smith, Tim Witherspoon and Lennox Lewis he was ahead on points at the time of the stoppage.

He didn't do too badly against Tyson early on 1989 either, Tyson himself in retirement said that the 1989 Frank was as good as any fighter he had faced.

Bruno had a very good jab.
