Nice, can't wait for this fight.

Wlad always puts on a good show in Germany and scores an impressive KO or TKO....On July 12, Tony Thompson will get brutally KO'd.

Can tony Thompson be america's savior, his only loss was a 4 round decision early in his career, from the looks of his record, wlad maybe is in for a very tough fight, thompson will not go down unlike McCline against valuev and ray austin.

I doubt Thompson wins, but of course I'll be rooting for him. Oh well, this is the heavyweight division so my expectations aren't very high.

I like this fight, not sure why so many are sour on it. I guess a lot of people bought into the hype that there'd be nothing but unification matches throughout 2008, leading to disappointment when mandatories are instead satisfied.

Truth be told, the next two heavyweight alphabet mandatory fights (Wlad-Thomson, Chagaev-Valuev II) aren't that bad at all.

Anyway, I'm kind of looking forward to this fight, or at least as much as I can look forward to any given heavyweight fight these days

How about no. .. How about you accept the fact that Eastern Europeans are taking over the heavyweight divison ?

Thompson is much better than Austin, and has an awkward southpaw style...

It won't be as easy a fight for Wlad as Austin was, but eventually Thompson will be knocked out too, probably the 8th or 9th round.
