i respect b-hop as a fighter it takes guts and a strong work ethic to keep yourself in shape and to keep going til you're 43 at the top tier of boxing but i dont thinkhis legacy is all that.

i mean would you hold him in the same regard as you hold a prime roy jones or a marvin hagler - i know that i dont. the only time b-hop came across 2 fighters who were also fighting at the top of their game and were of a simlar size is when he fought taylor and RJJ - and we all know what happened then.

however he is very mentally strong he has shown that in overcoming odds that were stacked against him, hes also a very slick operator is adpatable and is a eal student of the game in fact i think he would make an excellent trainer.

as a fighter though there are questions as to maybe he managed to deceive us and make himself look better than he reall was/is.

funny how he seems to mispronounce 'galzocky' hahaa...and y does ESPN have it down as April 30?...anyways, IF..and this is a big ass IF...if B-Hop wins convincingly, for a 43 year old man to beat an undefeated dominating veteran fighter in Joe is really something great..

B-hop has to be an ATG period!...no questions asked...

Wow........you are misguided.........he has only fought above the 160lb limit actually three times. I guess when he beats Calzaghe > the excuse will be that he fought a smaller man when his only true fight at light Hvy was with Tarver...you can't be serious

Tell me WHO Hopkins has beaten that Joe would have lost to?
          Also what fights define him?
His competition has been no better than Calzaghe's in fact I would have taken a Prime Reid , old Eubank , Kessler , Brewer and Mitchell all to beat B-Hype.
When he has faced guys who were talented , his own size and he couldn't bully them he has lost.
Calzaghe has faced the bigger , harder punching competition.
Hopkins 3 fights outside 160lbs , he lost one , beat a light-middle weight and an inactive unfocused 37 yr old Tarver.
Bernard has a long list of nobodies on his resume same as Joe and his biggest wins were over blown up little guys.
At least Calzaghe fights guys his own size.
Joe will wipe the floor with him as long as the Ref does his job.
And even then people will give the excuse that Borehard was past his best.
It is a no win situation for Joe.

my point is this for a certain period of time we all felt as though b-hop was the heir apprent to marvins throne as middleweight champ alot of my mates i knowand the general feeling as well was that he was a middleweight great. personally yes i do think so but hes not as good a marin hagler or even a tommy hearns.

he made his name by fightin fighters who had noo buisness in that weight class i.e. the likes of trinidad and de la hoya and wright as well. you could say that marvin fought sugary ray leonard bur leonard was league above the likes of de la hoya and trinidad and imo if he had fought b-hop the fight would have been alot closer.

i dont hate b-hop or anything i just think that when you break it down hes not everything he made himslef out to be and hes not eveyrthing we believed he was/is.

btw calzaghe is the biggr man thean b-hop, b-hop fought at 160 with a couple of fights above it like you said but calzaghe is around about 13 1/2 st when hes not fighting he is way bigger than winky and is naturally bigger than b-hop.

**** you scumbag some of us are not brainwashed by the bull**** hype machine that follows borehard.
And still my questions go unanswered!
                  WHO did Hopkins beat ??
SERIOUSLY what is his defining moment?
And him fighting Robert ****ing Allen 3 times is another joke.
And what says Hopkins could beat Mitchell or Brewer?
Apart from Oscar , Tito (both blown up welters) , Wright (operated best at his natural light middle) and Tarver a mediocre 37 yr old who was more interested in pretending to be a Boxer in Hollywood.
TELL ME WHO THE **** HAS HOPKINS BEATEN TO MAKE HIM A LEGEND?

Majority of the "Top level" Fighters are built on Hype, it adds to anticipation and fuels our MULTIPLE opinions, yet some of us get so caught up we tend to get emotional. It's always good to support your Fav fighter it adds to the "Madness".
