My god Cotto would put a serious beating on Clottey. You are exactly right. I have felt the same thing ever since I watched Clottey in that grueling fight with Gutierrez. He allows his body to take the punishment, but against a smarter, harder hitter in Cotto he'd pay dearly for that ignorance. Cotto would eat him up with body work and sharp counters.
You can counterpunch Cotto though and I think that would be Clottey's gameplan. He'd have to protect the body and take some chances and hear the final bell. It wouldn't be an easy task but I think it would be a good fight.

I meant the Foreman vs. Tsurkan fight - it was very close, and fairly entertaining.

The Clottey vs. Cruz fight tonight was awful.

I put some money down that it would end after 9.5 rounds, i was thinking theres no way Cruz gets KO'ed, he is durable as ****. Betting on boxing is very frustrating....

Because there are home referees like the one tonight who stop fights early.

Typical New York bull****. They have some of the most incompetent and corrupt boxing people in the country and the media pretends like it doesn't even happen. Stopping a fight like that with 12 seconds left in the round? Disgraceful.

I made the same bet. Thank god I don't wager alot of money....but still. How does a Ref that squeamish make it onto a televised card? What was he thinking? "Uh oh, men are exchanging punches and one of them is getting the better of it. I've got to stop this madness!"

Incidentally, is there a way to know the ref in advance of such a minor fight card?

I've got to incorporate that into my future predictions....since I expected cruz to take a battering (without buckling, which is exactly what happened before our bleeding heart official stepped in)

Jesus, I think the announcer is about to suck off Foreman.

Huge difference in class. Foreman should cruise to a decision win.
