    Better Legacy: Calzaghe or Mayweather?

Calzaghe hasn't moved around in weight to claim different belts, but he has defended his belt against alot of solid opponents. He also has been avoided or priced out of the big name fights of his generation

It's definately Floyd Mayweather I'd say.

      Margarito is better than both.

Where do these polls come from?? Joe Calzaghe. The legend who beat Manfredo, Lacy and Kessler?? WOW. He's got a better career then Sugar Ray Robinson. I'd take at least 15 current fighters career over his.

Kessler is one of the best fighters in the world... Mayweather has no name on his resume that is comprable

            Mayweather of course.

But this flitting around weight classes annoys me.

I think there are more people who mock Margarito's reputation than support it.

I think you can definately make comparisons to Kessler. When he fought Castillo (2x), Corrales, Judah, De La Hoya, and Ricky Hatton to name a few. I'm not trying to say that Mayweather has the best record as far as competition but definately comparable to Calzaghe's, and I personally think it surpasses his.

No disrespect to Kessler but be real: he's one of the best fighters in his respected division (super middle), not one of the best fighters in the world (which is why his name has never been on any P4P list).

Kessler has still yet proven himself as one of the best (which he still has plenty of time to do).

Mayweather doesn't have the greatest resume either, don't get me wrong, but he has beat a couple of legends (ODH, Ricky Hatton) whereas Calzaghe has beat some good competition (lacy, kessler).
