WBO light welterweight champion Ricardo "Mochuelo" Torres' promoter Billy Chams/Cuadrilatero has announced that Torres will grant a rematch to Kendall Holt on July 5 in Las Vegas on a bout televised by SHOWTIME. Torres scored a controversial eleventh round TKO over Holt last September in Barranquilla, Colombia. "I will have the best preparation for the rematch," warned Torres. "Let's hope that in your country you'll stand and fight. I'm sure that after a new triumph there will be doubt as to who is the best between us." Torres is training in the Cuadrilatero Gym under the watchful eye of trainers Orlando Pineda and Alvaro Mercado. "Mochuelo has 90 days to reach his best form and defeat Holt once more by knockout," said Chams. "This time he'll have more confidence because he knows Kendall's style." The bout will be Torres' third title defense. The previous two were in Barranquilla.

i am not sold on holt at all. he is a runner, and has little power. i was not impressed by his last fight at all. i think torres will beat him again!
