..AMAZING APRIL: Big Fights, Big Names & More...

I was just taking a look at the schedule for April on my calendar, and GOOD LORD. Pretty damn good month of boxing.

APRIL 5th: You got Ivan Calderon/Nelson Dieppa opening up the month, with Amir Khan/Martin Kristjansen. Not the BIGGEST fights by any means but a decent opener.

APRIL 12th: You got Miguel Cotto/Alfonzo Gomez with the double-header action of Kermit Cintron/Antonio Margarito II on the undercard. On Showtime, you got Chad Dawson/Glen Johnson with the co-feature being Antonio Tarver/Clinton Woods. Both VERY interesting fight cards.

APRIL 19th: THEN, you got Bernard Hopkins/Joe Calzaghe. Very anticipated fight. Lopez/Rubio on the undercard.

James McGirt Jr. fights this month, aswell. As well as closing the month out with Alex Arthur/Joan Guzman.

And keep in mind, all of this is FREE if you have HBO and Showtime. I'm looking forward to it. Vote. Discuss.

Cintron-Margarito guranteed to be a barn burner with almost a certain stoppage in the offing. I would have liked to have said Calz-Popkins but as a spectacle it'll probably suck.

Another notable but smaller fight is Chavez Jr./Loriga towards the end of the month. Not bad. Both undefeated.

Just like paul Williams was set to be the leading light of the welterweight division? Dawson will lose to Johnson, i can feel it.

Calzaghe vs. Hopkins is the one I'm most looking forward to...

Johnson vs. Dawson and Woods vs. Tarver are two others I'll actually watch live. I'll tape the HBO doubleheader and watch it later...

Molitor vs. Beltran this coming Saturday should be a good one.

One that I'm eager to see the result from, but won't be able to watch is Boytsov vs. Hawkins. This fight will give us a better idea of Boytsov's potential.

I went with Cotto-Gomez of course because Cotto is my favorite fighter.

I think Hopkins-Calazaghe is one that will be interesting. But also whenever a fight like this is hyped, it doesn't always turn out to be a good one. Guess we gotta wait and see.

Difference is that Williams was a **** fighter if you could get inside of him. Which is easy to do. It's not easy to do against Dawson, who actually has some skills in there. Not saying he wont lose, though.
