If both are at their best, Lennox Lewis would win.

I went with Ali. His handspeed, chin, athleticism, and intelligence was incredible. I don't think Lewis would beat him. I think Ali is just better, but that's my opinion. I'm sure some will disagree.

the more i think about it the more i think Lennox Lewis would win ,Ali would 'nt try and go to war with Lennox he would be probably concede the centre of the ring to the bigger stronger man ,he would be Boxing on the backfoot but Lennox would control the distance with his jab ,he was a very intelligent Boxer with a great jab and once he had the centre of the ring he was very hard to beat IMO ,for me Ali defence was awfull his low defence got him in all kinds of bother against Frazier ,Norton,Cooper etc Ali only defence was basically his footwork
          ,i got Lenny by decision

            ali bumbaye!
i think lennox was very good and his skill at his size would provide a matchup problem for ali,but ali always found a way to win.

Although Ali is undoubtedly greater, i do struggle to think of a fighter that i would back to beat an in form Lewis.

I got Lennox by KO because of his quick jab that would bother Ali. Also Ali IMO is one of the greatest HW but "terrible.." said it right, his defence was his footwork, which was part of why he was a great fighter.

I see Ali winning a close decision here. His superior pure boxing skills, hand speed, foot speed, durability, ring generalship, and ability to adapt will tell the story of this fight. Lewis is a great boxer and will have his moments, but he was simply too stiff to deal with the elusive Ali. Lewis was a thinker in the ring himself and Ali would have the advantage there, as he was arguably the best thinker in the history of the sport. He would offset Lewis by out thinking him and using the ring, feinting, countering effectively and not making himself a stationary target for Lewis, who mainly looked his best against stationary come forward targets like Morrison, Tyson, Tua Ruddock ect and has always had problems with pure boxers like Frank Bruno, Evander Holyfield Klitschko ect. Lewis's head hunting and lack of inside fighting will also play against him. In order to be Ali, you would need to be a pressure fighter that goes to the body and slow down the quick legs of Ali. In a good fight, i see Ali winning a close decision.

Muhammad Ali by tight unanimous decision.
