    Kessler played 2 horses.

More and more seems to be revealed concerning the Kessler-Miranda fiasco. It is now obvious that team Kessler during negotiations with the Miranda camp simultaneously tried to install Kessler as the mandatory challenger for Anthony Mundines WBA regular championship belt.

This is the letter from Gilberto Mendoza pres. of WBA and its dated march 28 which is about the same time the contract draft of the Miranda-fight was finished. It seems to me that Kessler only wanted Miranda if he couldn't get a shot at Mundines papertitle. Tell me: Is that respectable negotiating?

So boxers should only negotiate with one person at a time?

Nothing wrong with a plan B to back up your plan A. However, he left Miranda hang out there to dry and that isn't to respectable.

No. That is sound business to try to get the best deal. The point is that Miranda gave way for every demand, the tv-coverage was in place and only Palles signature was missing. It seems to me that Palle should have told Miranda that they'd only be willing to take the fight IF Kessler didn't become mandatory instead of leaving Miranda and Showtime out to dry. That would have been common decency IMHO.

Is everyone forgetting that Calzaghe is the WBA champ? How honorable that Kessler is allowed to fight for a paper title, can't wait!

The WBA regular belt is the antithesis of a real title.

Exactly. Nothing wrong with them taking this fight if that is the direction they want to go. But you DONT piss off the USA networks in the process. There was a right way and wrong way to go about this, and they chose the wrong way making many enemies by doing so. I know for a fact, Warriors, Dibella, Showtime and HBO are furious with Palle's actions. Not a great group of people to upset!
