Calzaghe vs. Hopkins non PPV WTF?

Honestly i do not understand why the hell this fight is not on PPV? ....I am happy that I do not have to pay the bill for the fight,...but honestly i think this fight of all others certainly is PPV worthy...we are talking about to Legends facing off on one another...more than jus the fact that calzaghe recently beat Kessler and Hopkins recently beat Winky Wright but we are talking about two champions who have dominated the game for over 20 yrs.....I would almost rather pay the PPV price in exchange for the heightened excited that big PPV fights create.....honestly Mayweather fighting an out of prime, inactive Oscar de la hoya and then a Ricky Hatton that had to climb to a weight class which he has never fought before to challenge a superb boxer overseas were better match ups then Calzaghe Hopkins? Yes i know that Hopkins is old...but he has just came off back to back wins over Antonio Tarver and Winky Wright....honestly he might even be at his peak right now....Does anyone know what the purses are for this fight?

Calzaghe's name holds no weight in America...His Kessler vs. Calzaghe fight drew the worst ratings EVER for a HBO broadcast.

      Calzaghe doesn't draw enough buys.

Hopkins doesn't draw enough buys. (all his big pay days have been because of his opponents, as every1 is aware).

      Thats why its non-PPV. lol

From what I understand Planet Hollywood Casino gave enough of a site fee that both party's were paid enough so this could be on HBO not PPV.

Great for boxing fans we should thank all the Hatton fans because they have showed UK fighters to be in high demand so the casinos give huge site fee's.

Because HBO paid them 6 million dollars (250,000 buys) and Golden Boy took it.

They didn't want to risk it because Calzaghe is a no name here in the states and Bernard's last fight ****** according to most people (I found it good, but that's just me).

If Calzaghe is fortunate, and I think he might be. His next and last fight will be on Pay Per View.. It will probably be against some big name american so It will almost certainly be on PPV

On paper it may seem that this fight is ppv worth but in reality this fight isn't ppv worthy. hopkins/wright was a horrible fight to watch and expectations of hopkins entertaining the masses is very low. Calzaghe is unknown to the american public.

I understand that Hopkins style of defensive counter puncher is not always the most exciting to watch but I do not think i have ever seen a Calzaghe fight that has not been exciting......Basically the way Calzaghe fights it is bound to make this fight an exciting fight....althought bernard might win he wont be able to slowly and painfully excute him like he did Trinidad for example.....the promoters & HBO are missing out big time...all this fight needs is more marketing in my opinion...Oh and how much are they getting paid does anyone know?
