This is a better fight for Abraham. If he had to fight at 166, it would have just slowed him down - he doesn't need the extra weight, since he has lots of power at 160 and has no problem making 160.

Lorenzo has earned his title shot. Miranda has already had a title fight and lost (he was lucky he wasn't disqualified) and Edison also lost the eliminator against Pavlik.

**** that, he's had plenty of fights that were, "good for him". A lot of fans would love to see the rematch, and a Lorenzo/Abraham fight would end up being underwhelming to say the least.

Lorenzo would take step aside money I'm sure. And having him on the undercard seems like a good deal to me.

The IBF blows

This sucks. Why not have a rematch to a great fight that wasn't telvised in usa so we can all see it on tv instead of youtube. Instead we ruch lorenzo in. This kid is a live underdog but would benfit greatly from another fight or two before abarham.

this is ******. there is a huge story behind Abraham and Miranda because of the nature of their first fight, people are very interested in it...people would definately love to see it!

and sorry...but who the hell is lorenzo? I cant even find him on youtube or the internet at all! Now Ill give him one thing...he probebly has earned his title shot, so this is a legit fight for Abraham.

but Miranda makes more sense than anyone else! and after all of Abraham's crappy title defences, now he is allowed to get an excuse and say this title defence is finally legit?
and I frankly dont have a clue how Lorenzo is mandatory, when the IBF belt has Sebastian Sylvester as the highest ranked guy, who is ALSO German and should have no problem whatsoever getting a title shot. no idea why Abraham hasnt already fought him or Sturm...these are the kind of things that irritate me a little with Abraham.

I dont know how a guy who has lost pretty recently is so avoided.
