In a street fight, anything can happen.
I'd sure as **** rather be a good boxer in a streetfight than a good Taekwondo practitioner with literally no experience getting hit in the face.

I've trained Kickboxing, Karate, Taekwondo, Aikido, Ninjutsu and Shaolin KungFu/Thaiboxing.

I can tell you this; You have to have experience in actual combat to get something to work. Knowing how to punch, kick, lock or throw won't help diddly squat if you've never done it in actual combat.

Any martial art that does not simulate or have any form of all-out combat training will not be effective in a fight.

I always wanted to fight, so boxing was ideal. I was actually far better with my feet than with my hands, but there's no holding back in boxing.
No opponent who just flies across the room because you touch him.

Kicks works on untrained people. On trained fighters, it doesn't.
In a ring it might be effective under certain rules, but not in a streetfight unless the opponent is a tomato can or you just get lucky.

Ninjutsu, Jiu Jitsu etc works because fights often end up on the ground.
But unless you train those forms in order to fight, you're ****ed.

Bruce Lee didn't train for fights. As a matter of fact, his students always said that while Bruce Lee was a great trainer, he was no fighter.

Bruce Lee would get butchered against any fight-trained heavyweight in any form of combat.
If you don't realize that, you're ******.



To the thread question, it's difficult to say because I've always been told Chan was trained by some monks. And they really do FIGHT.
If what Runningaroundwithknives says is accurate, Barrera would win.
He has probably fought a thousand times on the street.
