Louis vs. Ali

Who do you think was the greatest boxer of all time?

    Was it Joe Louis

    OR
    Muhammad-Ali

    Honestly?

I think Ali would have made Louis look like a jackass in a fight. Also that's not important, what's important is answering the question based on the two options you provided right? Well the greatest fighter of all time is Sugar Ray Robinson.

And Muhammad Ali is the greatest heavyweight of all time.

I'm undecided as to who's better............Louis or Foreman in the #2 spot.

Because then again........who did Louis fight? Schmelling? lolz.

I think Ali was the greatest HW. As far as greatest boxer of all time. Well, it's tough to pinpoint, but I keep coming back to Robinson or Ali.

Ali was the greatest heavyweight of all time to me. His level of opposition was better. I think the only advantages Louis had over Ali was power, timing and his amazing ability to finish fighters when he gets them hurt.

** Louis also has the advantage of not losing to Leon Spinks and Trevor Berbick. What great drops his title to a Spinks other than Ali?

Ibro puts Louis as #1. Ali is going the Jack Johnson route, dropping in rank as his record is dissected impartially. Ibro ranks him second for now, a decent slot, but who knows what modern fanboys decide in the future?

Right, when Parkinson's was starting to affect him and when his skills were noticeably deteriorating.

                Muhammad ALI

Sonny Liston and George Foreman are MONSTERS and ALI kayoed them when he was young (Liston) and when he was a lil old (Foreman).
