Get it straight. He said "I'll never lose to a whiteboy" which is fine by me. I'm white and I understand the way he used the term, in that context it actually IS'NT a racial slur.

However, the last thing he says, which is never pointed out by anyone..

That is very racist. It's not even arguable.

Like I said, I'm white and I could care less, but all this debate about the "whiteboy" line, and I have yet to see anyone point out the one thing he said that actually WAS very racist.

it's funny how some african americans can be racist to another person while the other person cant. i've seen black people get racist now a days that they get a free pass for doing it by saying "oh we've been through a lot of hard times way back blah blah blah" whatever! see they can say " i would never lose to a white person" or they can say "look at this *******s" or "****ing dog eaters" in camera. but u can't say "why are they so black" or once u use the word black about them it's racist. shouldn't this be vice versa that just because they were ****** back then it means they can do it freely today. this **** shouldn't be tolerable.

What Hopkins is saying is the same thing the movie "White Men Can't Jump" is saying.

A white boy comes to a black neighborhood trying to compete with all the street ball players and automatically they're gonna assume he can't jump and that he aint ****. That's just how it goes. It was up to the white boy to prove all of that wrong at the end of the movie when he slam dunked the ball.


It's up to Joe Calzaghe to slam dunk his way to victory and prove what Hopkins said wrong. Nothing racist about that, just Hopkins telling him, "you're in a different world now brit".
