Exactly. Hamed revisionists make my teeth ache.

As for being schooled by MAB, it's worth pointing out that the Hamed that fought him was finished before he set foot in the ring. The damage that MAB inflicted was nothing like as severe as the damage Hamed inflicted on himself in the 18-24 months leading up to that fight.

I'm not saying prime Hamed beats MAB. But he would certainly have made him earn his money that night instead of having it given to him.

But can one really live off of the interest of $10,000,000? I would've thought at least 60mil....

No he relied on his speed and reflexes they probs are not there anymore he went to prison has not trained (as far as I know) and his defeat against barrera "broke him" in my opinion.

could be funny seeing him back tho.

Hamed has always said he'll come back, he just keeps delaying every year!

Remember his stablemate Herol Graham made a good comeback at 38 years old and another Johnney Nelson was a world title holder at nearly 40. Junior Witter is no spring chicken which shows that fighters with the Ingle style can have some longevity.

I'd bet he does come back, but how well he'll do is another matter, oh and I doubt it'll be at featherweight!!!!

Whitaker, Jones and even Ali are good examples.
Hmmm, I really don't know about that. When those guys you mentioned started to slide most others fighters their age had already gone to complete ****e. I think people forget how old these guys were when they were 'sliding' and what they had already done.

Whitaker was still holding his own against the absolute best young fighters of the day well past his prime and at weights well above his natural best weight. Actually I think Whitaker is a terrible example to use in this case, as is Ali. Whitaker didn't rely that much on pure athleticism. His was more just a natural talent for unorthodox defense and slipperiness. He didn't have the super speed or reflexes of Jones or the dancing feet and stamina of some other guys. His was just a natural talent that he built on.

Ali and Jones are better examples but they were still fighting ten times better in their thirties than most could dream of fighting in their twenties. They slipped from their standards but their standards when they had slipped were still better than most champs in their prime.

Onto Hamed - The guy was crapo to begin with and if he came back would be completely brutalised. He would deserve every second of it as well.

Wow, I don't think I've heard anyone else say that Mayweather, or Jones for that matter, were ever actually good at trash talking. When it comes down to it no one does it well anymore. Most guys don't even understand the reason it was done by Ali in the first place and just make complete morons of themselves by trying to be gangsta and all that other BS.

It is just ****** and cliche now and no one actually pulls it off. They have neither the brains or the charisma to do it sadly. Mayweather is truly one of the worst trash-talkers ever! He never actually says anything worth listening to or even slightly witty or amusing. It is just straight up fourteen year old try hard tough homie type talk. All that bling this and bling that, I got money....yada yada yada....

              **** me, but it's boring!

So what you're saying is that he fought Barrera when he was sliding down from his prime and yet after all this time he might be able to come back and hang with the best guys at light weight?

So, let me just clarify...He was completely owned and humiliated by Barrera, the only primed, top of his game good champion he ever fought, and yet after all this time collecting dust and fat you actually think he could come and not only do well but maybe beat guys like Katsidis, Casa, Diaz and Pacman?

                Right on!!!

Doesn't that happen to most boxers? Athletic ability is an important part of Boxing.
