Why hate on him? Floyd spent alot of his early years making way less money, now that he's got the chance he's out making what every fighter out there dreams of "MILLIONS!!!" Yes I'd love to see Cotto vs. Mayweather just like every other boxing Fan, but since Mayweather doesn't want to we just have to get over it. Cotto will become the dominate force in the welters and if Mayweather ever decides to come back and take control over the division then he'll have no choice but to face Cotto.

Be carefull. Some of these Floydboyz become REALLY emotional when someone criticizes Floyd. U would think some of them share a pillow with him.

It's obvious Floyd loves money, and honestly...who wouldn't go for the big money if you could?

I think he's a bit torn though between making the most money possible and solidifying his legacy. As many people there are that hate him, there's just as much that love him the same. So he indeed has a huge fan base that will buy his **** on a stick if he sold it.

But at the end of the day it comes back to boxing. Many boxers before him had endorsement deals and made big money outside the ring, but they all fought the best guys (i.e Leonard, Hagler, etc).

Most critics are starting to shed some light on the possibility (or inevitability) about a Cotto vs Mayweather showdown. Mayweather beating Oscar again only opens the door wider to the proposed fight and if Mayweather "then" still continues to make excuses, his demand as an "entertainer" will slowly flush itself down the toilet. He needs the Cotto fight just as much or maybe more than Cotto does if you look at who has the most to gain or lose.

Did you know that Muhammad Ali was in a wrestling match? Plenty of other boxers have made the cross over as well.
