I'm a Hatton fan but I really don't know what he's up to with this. I must admit though it smacks of cowardice. Lost a bit of respect for him after his, erm, fight with Lazcano was priced at £14.95 (don't tell me he couldn't have engineered a better price) and now this!!! Hatton man, get a friggin grip eh? Nobody wants to see you fighting Mayweather again, Witter is where it's at. If he doesn't get the Witter fight on it'll hang round his neck like a noose til the day he dies.

Yeah?? Just pray and wish he loses to bradley..People like you have been praying for Witter to lose against Ndou,Kotelnik,Corley( who many picked to beat Witter and also Vivian harris..But he kept throwing it back in your faces.

You should be praying for a fight between the best 2 guys at 140 not the other way round unless you're scare for your hero.

As you said, "Hatton only fights for money" and unfortunately for Witter he doesn't bring any to the table.

When a loss to Judah and Harris is the biggest names on your resume than you can consider it "bum" fighting.

Why doesn't Witter move up and try to avenge hiss whooping from Judah?

This is NOTHING like Williams. Junior Witter is 35 years old and has been calling Ricky out for about 7 years!

Also it's nothing like Mayweather Cotto. Mayweather is 31 years of age and already proven, Cotto is 27, a "young lion". HAtton is actually not even 30 yet and Witter is 34. But i don't think Hatton has to fight him. If he hates him, don't give him the payday.

RICKY HATTON has revealed why he will never fight Junior Witter — an awards-do insult.

Hatton, 29, makes his light-welterweight comeback on May 24 against Juan Lazcano in Manchester after losing his unbeaten record to Floyd Mayweather.

The Hitman has been taunted for years by Witter who now holds the prestigious WBC world title. Hatton was ready to bow to the pressure until the Bradford switch-hitter put his foot in it.

Hatton said: “I was half contemplating fighting him but it all changed at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards in Birmingham.

“They got me up, Joe Calzaghe, Enzo Maccarinelli, Clinton Woods and Witter. We all walked to the stage and I shook hands with them all. Witter leaned over to me and whispered ‘One day.’

“I just thought, ‘You’ve just peed that up against the wall there.’ I really was thinking about getting in the ring with him.”

Witter, 34, defends his WBC belt against Tim Bradley in Nottingham on May 10.

                      what a pathetic coward
Its ok for Hatton to get a shot at PBF by disrespecting him but Witter doesn't have the same luck. I STILL wanna see this fight.
