After Mosley, Judah will be the official next ricardo mayorga

all the top fighters will use him as a "tune up" and all the younger guys will use him to get a win against a known name on their resume. They should make a movie on zab judah. seriously from birth to now they can title it "what could have been" the story of zab judah. Dude is garbage with no heart. He obviously doesnt take the sport serious. Come fight night he shows us all how hard he trained in camp and gases after the 4th round. What a waste! Zab "the waste" MAYORDUH. And i welcome all flame from you zab boys but what can you really say???? oh he has talent? lol

Zab pushes everybody he fights to their limits. Even in his losses. That's why he won't be just a tune-up for anybody in the near future.

good point but he finds a way to lose. His crowning achievement was Cory Spinks in St Louis. He has the tools but very raw in the mental game. It also doesn't help that his dad when offering instructions always says the same thing " Come on DAWG!!Come on DAWG!!

I've always said that Yoel should have let Pernell train Zab. But nooo.. They had to try the father-son thing. He never gives real input in the corner. It's just pep talk. "Come on, Zab. You NEED this!"

You need this Zab, Come on dawg!!!!!!!!!! Then Yoel throws punches and says" bam, poom, blat, splat" like those old batman shows to illustate to young Zab what he is looking for. The thing with zab is that sometimes like in the Cotto fight, instead of throwin punches at his opponent, he'll pound on his chest and say"BROOKLYN" , why ZAB WHY?

              LOL.. YES!!!

But seriously.. I think Zab showed maturity in the Cotto fight. Even though he lost, I saw that he ws more focused than before. Old Zab would've flipped after the second low blow. Old Zab would have stopped fighting back so hard after that beating. I really don't think he'll ever just be a tune-up fight, as th thread starter suggests. Not while he's reasonably young, anyway.

Zab is still a gate keeper for elite fighters. Mayorga is just a name fighter.

You know what, he was doing great against Mayweather. I had Judah winning the 1st 4 rounds , plus the knockdown that was not counted. After that it was all downhill for Zab. Total mental collapse and then the WWE shenanigans of YOEL and Zab going nuts all over the ring.

I think that since he was super hyped especially in the New York area, he believed everything that was said about him. Kostya brought him down to earth and has never really recovered except for the Spinks rematch. Speaking of which, if anyone deserved a beatdown it was Spinks that night for that circus act of an entrance.
