Former WBA & WBC Super Middleweight Champion Mikkel Kessler is set to fight Jermain "Bad Intentions" Taylor in his United States debut. Mikkel Kessler, Joe Calzaghe's latest opponent was expected to face Columbian Edison Miranda but negotiations recently broke through. "This fight is a lot bigger than Miranda and will help Kessler break into the American boxing audience. It's a fight I know he will win and Taylor has finally stepped up to it" said Mogens palle. Jermain Taylor is also coming off a loss like Kessler after losing a close decision against Pavlik who also knocked him out in the fight prior to that. The fight will be a title eliminator for Joe Calzaghe's WBC belt and will take place on May 31st.
The fight will be televised on Setanta Sports who have bought the rights to Kessler's next 3 fights on UK television.
