Doing what to me? I didnt write that to mirror me, I didnt say any of that happened to me, nor did I say my race, why is it when something is written its always taken out of context. Im only explaining why a certain statement is taken the way it is for a certain race. And to answer your second question, if youre living in America everyone is affected. Reason being is because the present is founded on history. No, there arnt fire hoses in the streets being unleashed on people nor is slavery still going on, but history whether its British or American has shaped the lives of those who lived in it, who raised their children to live the present and has some bearing on the mindstates of many.

We never did anything to black people, yet as a third generation white American I have to put up with a double standard.

Hopkins should have to answer for his racist comments, the same way Pavlik would have to answer for making a similar outburst (I use Pavlik as an example because he's a third generation American of East European heritage like myself - his ancestors never did anything wrong to black people).

Like I said I think you would have to be black to understand, why were the reporters around Hopkins all laughing when he said it instead of being mad? Many white people didnt even find it racist, so why do some?

Black people didnt persecute white people. White people persecuted and enslaved black people, despite laws that were against it. Many dont stop to realize that the civil rights movement was just in the 1960's, not long ago, where blacks were still hosed and attacked by german shepherds. Can you imagine what a fire hose feels like being put on full force, in the middle of the street while being watched and mocked by many who hate you? Thats why the statement is interpreted different, have you ever seen pictures of blacks hung on a tree with white people surrounding the hung victim as if its a dog and pony show? I never took what Hopkins said as racist, I guess you have to be black to understand such a thing so if youre not I dont expect you to understand.
