Andre Berto is unquestionably a fast rising star in the welterweight division, but can he control the relentlessness of someone like Clottey?

Good question. Physically I think he can hold his own. Berto is very short and compact with a great base. Him and Clottey would be something to watch scrap it out on the inside.Comment

IMO, Clottey is a little overrated. Not by mainstream fans, but the hardcore guys on here. He has unusually fast hands for a guy the plods forward. But he doesn't commit to the cause like he should with that style.. There are serious lapses in his workrate, probably because he's trying to pace himself. Despite the pacing or whatever he's doing, he still fades late in fights.
But hey- he fights this weekend, so maybe I'll be proven wrong by seeing a new side in Clottey.Comment

Now to the topic, Clottley is a vet and is probably a bit too ring saavy for Berto. Give Berto until after this year and I think he could beat Clottey.Comment

My vote went to Clottey. Berto is a damn good fighter but I'll give the edge to Clottey. Clottey has better D and that will play a role down the stretch. If Clottey hands hold up...Berto will be in for a long night.(just my opinion)
From what I've seen from Berto is a good puncher who puts his punches together but he gets hit a lot and that will not be good for him fighting a tough fighter like Clottey. He may prove me wrong and pull out a victory. I wish these two would fight because I know it would be a good scrap.Comment
