Well, it don't matter if katsidis got robbed at that point of the fight since katsidis hasn't been complaining about that from what I've heard. We shouldn't have to complain for fighters, if they felt like they got cheated at that time then he should have said after the fight was over.Comment

Like I said it was a classic fight, easily a contender for FOTY. I would like to see a rematch though for sure. The long count added to the drama. But really for all the people (and they were out there) who said that Katsidis was "exposed"... well he could have won if the referee knew how to count.Well, it don't matter if katsidis got robbed at that point of the fight since katsidis hasn't been complaining about that from what I've heard. In case you didn't know the rules. When a boxer falls outside of the ring, he has 20 seconds to get back in, not 10.I know it's old news but I just watched the replay last night and guess what: Katsidis won in the sixth round: Joel was knocked out of the ring onto the ring apron and was not back in the ring after what would be a ten count. The referee stopped counting at nine while Joel was still stepping through the ropes.
Of course he rallied magnificently to win by a spectacular knockout but even so I think the referee made a mistake that cost Katsidis a monumental win. I would like to see a rematch, it was a great fight.Comment

I watched it again, Casamayor made it back in exactly 10 seconds. The time he gets ko'd out of the ring is 32 seconds, and then he gets back in the ring exactly 22 seconds. So, I think it counts that he made it back? For some reason it felt longer when I watched the fight liveComment

I asked a licensed Aussie referee and he said , they have 20 seconds if knocked out of the ring onto the floor , if its onto the ring apron he has 10 seconds to return to ring unaided , he hasnt seen the incident as his sopcast was playing up but he going to find it to have a look ,,,Comment

LOL katsidis was exposed, if anything he showed a lot of heart, after losing the first rounds he came back big, dropping casa after tasting the canvas 2 times. i'm pretty impressed with katsidis - that fight was the first time i've seen him, he doesn't claim to be the best boxer out there, the kid just says he wants to be the next gatti. he's got the heart of gatti for sureLike I said it was a classic fight, easily a contender for FOTY. I agree with that part because if the highlights that i have seen the referee was at 9 when Casamayor was climbing through the ropes, Now i dont know if he should have continue counting or not but i think he gave Casa the benefit of doubt because he seem clear headed when he cameback in.
I really like Katsidis but he shouldnt have rushed in all the time, I bet if he had taken his time and just go to the body like he was doing earlier he could have won but he just too a page out of Hatton's book and he got punished for it.Comment

Casamayor will never give Katsidis a rematch. I've said it before, all he wants is a big payday and then I think he's done. He barely got past Katsidis who is anything but a 'boxer' and I think he knows that. He'll take his ass whooping against someone big and call it quits.Like I said it was a classic fight, easily a contender for FOTY. I would like to see a rematch though for sure.
