Briggs has always been one of the best talkers in the division whether it being a bad-ass or being a articulate commentator. Thing is Briggs is an entertainer much like Don King. He also is one of those guys that never came close to living up to potential, oh well. As for fights, Don King turn down fights like James Toney and Evander Holyfield for Briggs so who knows what King has in store for Shannon.

You probably didn't know but he was a big prospect back in the day and was expected to go far. I don't know why everyone is hating on briggs so much he lost the belt and he had pnemonia. You didn't see everyone rippin on holyfield for losing the moorer fight because of his health, so give the dude a chance... lets see how he does in his comeback fight before we go crazy disrespecting this guy.

Briggs is a F****** Joke who would get winded carrying Klitschko or Peters jock strap from the dressing room. He would get peppered with the jab and the KTFO by the right hand inside of 4 rounds against Wlad and would most likely get knocked out by Peter if he doesnt get lucky and land a good shot. He should shut his mouth and be happy that he ever got a shot. Alot of better fighters never got the chance to hold the belt. He needs to fight Golota or Ruiz at best and accept that his chance has passed him when he stunk it up against Ibragimov.

you obviously never watched an amateur or young Briggs. Shannon when he isn't 500lbs of muscle, has some serious handspeed and power. His jab (when it left its holster) is a very solid punch as is his left hook. and Briggs was a very good counter-puncher. His ego and weak mind was his first obstacle he couldn't overcome; then it was his lack of dedication to the sport. He has some great physical skills, but his ultimate downfall was his lack of heart and overestimation of his physical skills.
