It's funny because the prefight HBO vignette built it up as redemption for the third Sugar, following Leonard-Duran II and Robinson-Turpin II. Instead, Mosley showed he couldn't make the necessary adjustments and create offense against Forrest.
IMO it also showed the limitations of Jack Mosley as a trainer. In both Forrest fights he had no answers to Shane's problems. In the first fight, Shane got badly hurt and had to just hang in there. But there was no excuse for such a feeble fight plan in the second match.

Jack Mosley was probably thinking "Why isn't he throwing more punches? That's what I told him to do."
I didn't think this fight was a clear enough win that it would be absurd for Mosley to get the decision. A lot of people seem to think that Forrest clearly won, but I was curious how many people thought Mosley won.
Good post, Shane could have walked with the decision by Boxing standards.
I thought Vernon edged it, but just a one or two of those rounds the other way and I would have given it to Mosley.
