no doubt it hurts training but the skills of wresling and boxing are like apples and oranges.
understand the tradition you say. i grew up in east l.a.
but fake and real is two different things.

i got nieces and nefhews who think this wres sht is real.

in america wrestling its a circus in mexico a tradition in japan a sport
u should really try to see a mexican show or japan show and watch them dive into concrete its extremely dangerous sure its "fake" but the injuries most of my friends that wrestle sustained are not fake knees broken a guy got his jaw split in two and this guys are making 5 bucks a match
u cant compare wrestling to boxing since in boxing u need to worry about winning but in wrestling ur risking injury in every single match for little to no recognition for example in my first match i got paid a coke and 5 pesos that would be like 5 usa cents
but if u compare the injuries u wont notice much difference between a real and a "fake" sport
