Well he was my boxing hero in the time he was boxing. I hated to see him lose to Tito the way that he did. To this day I feel for him, because there are no fighters like him and Vargas, fighting CHAMPIONS and WINNING belts 14 or 15 fights into their career.
What I have always wanted to know is

He had all the skills going in to the Tito fight and was easily beating Tito before the 7th round. It seems like after the 7th, his career was thrown for a loop.

    1. HOW MUCH DID THE TITO FIGHT TAKE OUT OF HIM?

    2. WHAT LONG LASTING EFFECTS OF THAT FIGHT BOTHERED HIM THE REST OF HIS CAREER TO LOSE AS MUCH SKILL AS HE LOST AFTER THAT FIGHT?

    And,

    3. WILL HE EVER BE A TRAINER OR BE ASSOCIATED WITH BOXING IN ANY OTHER WAY?

Damn dude your lucky. I have always wanted to me David Reid.

You're telling me I'm lucky, I'm lucky to have gotten in touch with someone who was a close friend of Reid's from the amateurs who thought it'd be good for him to do an interview. Reid is currently training kids at Marquette University, the only college I can think of with a boxing program.

He was good for 5-6 rounds, but his professional inexperience showed when he went later into fights and wasn't able to be as effective. It's the same with a lot of the Cuban amateur stars when they first started defecting. Diosbelys Hurtado is a prime example of such.

I'm not sure really. I know Francisco Palacios, Sechew Powell, Jaidon Codrington, Eric Kelley, Roberto Benitez, and a bunch of other hot amateurs attended Marquette's boxing program.

David Reid would've beat Fernando Vargas IMO

The difference is that Judah has been 12 rounds and done well as a champion earlier. Now, he just doesn't feel like training.
