    Let's talk about Glen Johnson?

Glen makes his latest challenge for a world title in less than 2 weeks. Personally, I became a Johnson fan after watching Woods-Johnson 3 (an absolutley brilliant fight). Since then I went back and watched his two fights with Tarver (first one was excellent) and obviously his fight with Roy. The man is a machine, and seems like a total gentleman.

I really hope he can do it. Is Chad too young and too slick for Johnson tho?

    What do you guys think?

It will be Dawson's hardest fight. I like the old man and he can be relentless with his work ethic, just skill wise, he's going to have to make it ugly, brutal on the inside, and draining, otherwise Dawson may just box his ears off.
I gave the road warrior an outside chance, but weirdly enough sometimes he can be outworked like against Tarver.

Skillwise, Dawson has a better overall skillset and all the qualities that youth provides.

Were you a little shocked that Johnson got the decision against Tarver I? I know I was, I thought Tarver won pretty clearly.

Didn't Tarver tell you, judges don't like him. He's been singing that tune of late.

Poor Antonio Tarver, the victim. LOL

Tarver won I thought but it was really close. He doesn't fight all 3 minutes and they notice it.

That was one of the funniest interviews I have ever heard.

Larry: "Antonio, did you think... you had won the fight?"
Tarver: "Of course. It's all or nothing with me. I can never seem to get a fair shake when we go to the cards. I got to knock everyone out."

What cracked me up is he had that goofy little king's crown hat on his head before the fight.
When he lost I wonder if he had to give it to Johnson.

I gotta find a pic of that one. hE LOOKS ridiculous

Glen Johnson has a chance at winning this fight if he uses all of his experience, comes in great shape and fights for 12 rounds.

Casamayor and Campbell just won against younger opponents, I think Johnson could do the same (Dawson is different from Katsidis and Diaz though, Johnson will have to come forward).

There has been talk about Dawson's suspect chin and his less than stellar opposition (aside from Adamek). It is possible that he turns out to be a bit overhyped at age 24.

Johnson has slowened down though and he is getting old for his physical style. I'm not sure if he can pressure Dawson like he used to.

It will be a tough test for Dawson but I believe he will pass it and win a decision over an aging Glen Johnson.

Having said that I'm not going to count out Glen Johnson completely, we have had some bigger upsets this year... Johnson KO9.

i'm from connecticut, so i'm obviously backing dawson. if dawson can get through johnson, it would be a huge boost for his career.

johnson is a machine though and is almost always entertaining to watch. i don't know much about the guy on a personal level, but he seems like he takes good care of himself outside the ring and works really hard in camp.
