Bute vs. Larsen in the making?
According to rumours at ringside in Kiel last night Team Sauerland, manager for Arthur Abraham and danish SMW contender Mads Larsen, the IBF SMW champion Lucien Bute is to make a voluntary defense of his title against the 35 year-old golden boy.
Rumour has it that the bout might even take place in Denmark.
Larsen made a comeback last year after a 3 year lay-off following a dispute with Team Palle.
Larsen won by UD last night after 8 rounds over Ross Thompson. Larsen took the fight with under a weeks notice.
UPDATE: According to theknockoutnetwork the fight might materialize because Berrio, whom Bute def. to get the title, was with Team Sauerland and a concession in that fight-contract said that should Berrio lose, another member of Team Sauerland will get a shot at Bute.
