Wrestling involves very athletic athletes who perform staged coreographed moves which are safe as possible but something really do hurt. It does not say try this at home for a reason because 9/10 when they say they really are injured they are from the moves going wrong.

If you mean olympic wrestling, it involves a lot of submissions and holds that make the opponent tap.

I'm not sure what you're asking.

Actually that's ju-jitsu. Real wrestling doesn't involve submissions. Olympic wrestling involves taking an opponent down while on your feet and then trying to expose your opponent's back to the mat. Which can be done with a variety of moves. If held their long enough then a pin is the result.

i'm not a wrestling fan, but it seems funny when people compare it to boxing/any combat sport.

its like comparing a documentary to walt disney films. take it for what it is.

If you mean olympic wrestling then its using leverage and angles to create impact. A belly to back suplex like you see in the wwe is an actual olympic move that when done properly against someone not expecting it...can not only knock them out, but break their neck and leave them permanently paralyzed or dead like i've seen several times in my wrestling days. Its completely different from boxing but added as a supplement for inside clinches adds a whole new dimension to your fight game and makes you a real badass in a street fight. Guy cant stay outside cuz you'll knock him out. But he cant rush in and tackle you either cuz he'll end up getting thrown hard.
