WWE: Officials unhappy Wrestlemania has not sold out

    Partial Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

Internally, some WWE officials are upset that WrestleMania 24 at the Florida Citrus Bowl has not sold out yet. They've sold 61,000 tickets thus far, but there are about 10,000 (nosebleed) seats left. On TV, they are plugging this as "new seats have just been released" to explain why they are still plugging WrestleMania tickets.
even though i dont like what may's doing, i actually want him to be successful at this bull**** because if they dont break whatever record their trying to break, if they really had a hard time selling it out, casual fans may see this at some sort of reflection on what is going on in the world of boxing.

You can't force Boxing fans to purchase a WWE event that features some punk ass fighter no one really likes. If Floyd would go and fight in the UFC then those boxing fans would buy it just to watch Floyd get his punk ass get kicked. Everyone knows Wrestlang' is fake. Why would boxing fans buy some fake ass ****? Boxing fans did not even welcome the Contender (Which is boxing) I am going to laugh at Floyd for thinking he is a big attraction when in reality he is not. Also, the big show is dull and boring. You don't give some one that large that much exposure. Vince and his father never did that with Andre the Giant. They only brought out Andre the Giants once or twich a year and that made it great because people wanted to see the Giant but too many people have been overly exposed to Paul Wright The Big Douche.

Can someone explain to me how anyone is taking this seriously at all?

This is a serious question as I do not honestly follow wrestling but why would a staged show were by a 150lb boxer fighting a 400lb wrestler become such a big deal.

Surely no-one believes that this is real and secondly could be competitive?

Ok if the fight was Marquis of Queensbury rules standard and Floyd could dance around and tippy tap his way to a UD against Big Show but....

Is there a rule change where by the gigantic wrestler cannot pick up the tiny boxer, please put me straight, I just dont get it?
