Middleweight Tyrone Brunson (19-0, 19 KOs) broke current WBA super featherweight champion Edwin Valero's "world record" for consecutive first-round knockouts to begin a career. Brunson needed just 72 seconds to stop the ideal opponent in china-chinned Francis McKechnai (3-15, 3 KOs), who has been knocked out in eight straight bouts and in all 15 of his losses. McKechnai was down three times. With the record in his possession, hopefully Brunson will consider fighting tougher competition. It should be noted Valero's 18th straight first round KO was in a world title eliminator and he won the world championship in his 20th bout.
19 first round KO's is impressive, but its just too bad he broke it fighting bums..like the artical says, hopefully Tyrone will step it up now
