Abraham Stops Ayala, Increases Pavlik Mandate

By Cliff Rold - With a final, devastating left hand on Saturday night, Arthur Abraham (26-0, 21 KO) made another statement that he, and he alone, is the number one contender to World Middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik. Successfully defending his IBF belt for the seventh time, the German-based Armenian Abraham left outclassed challenger Elvin Ayala (18-3-1, 8 KO) of New Haven, Connecticut, face first on the mat in the closing seconds of the final round to score his fourth straight knockout. The bout was broadcast live worldwide online by www.mdr.de from the Sparkassen-Arena in Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. [details]

Yeah; no telling who wins but it would feature some serious hitting and that's cool by me.

How was the knockout? Brutal like his last few?

A lot of firepower in this matchup, I can't wait. Abraham has pretty decent defence, so a good chance it goes to the later rounds, maybe even the distance.

i dont think this fight improved the case for pavlik-abraham. Skills wise AA didnt distance himself from a guy that cant beat contender fighters, we already knew that he does have some power but hes very robotic. Personally i have him no3 behind winky at 160.

Muttley: Winky hasn't fought a Middleweight in almost two years. He hasn't beat one since the end of 2005.

did anyone notice that abrahams jaw was a swollen. pavlik would break them screws and make it drop. abraham should fight winky though.

I'll make a gift image of it after I get done downloading the whole fight. But yes the knockdown looked pretty brutal to me, all of abrahams knockdowns are pretty bad ass looking knockdowns.
